I had the exact same need and the above url has an example of how I "throw"
errors.

Then to catch the error you do something like this:


Monitor;

  CGI_readToFile('/myfolder/myfile.txt');

On-error;
  errDS = Error_getError();

  if errDS.code = '123';
    // do something
  else;
    // do something else;
  endif;
Endmon;
