Thank you for the advice.  I tried the QMHRCVPM API, as I explain in 
another post.  It works nicely with errors thrown by procedures.  I still 
have an issue when the escape message originally comes from another 
program.

Some of the information you're looking for is in the message itself.
Retrieve the message using one of the message APIs for the details behind
what program & procedure sent the message.
