Sorry for not responding to you all sooner. The join logical data is created with OPNQRYF by the CL, everytime the called program builds and rebuilds the display, it is still reading the set of records passed by the open query. That explains why we were able to see the new values in the parent and the join logical but they could not be seen in the subfile display, unless I got out and run the program again. Thank you all again for your help. Gary >>> gpalomino@xxxxxxxx 9/30/2005 10:02 AM >>> Thanks - I'll try that. Gary >>> booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx 9/30/2005 9:53 AM >>> At this point you are in this pretty deep. Would it be useful to make a small test environment for your data, with just a few records, and walk through your data very carefully? Something in your environment is not working the way you think it is. --------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.martinvt.com --------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Date: 09/30/05 11:46:00 To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Subfile not updated on a join logical back from the parentupdate Jonathan thanks.
