Right on Lim. It IS a case by case basis. RPGLE & SQLRPGLE both have their strengths and weaknesses. By far the biggest weakness both have are poorly coded/developed applications.... As a side note they BOTH rule <vbg> Thanks, Tommy Holden -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lim Hock-Chai Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 1:59 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Embeded SQL Query - Possible to make it in RPGLE. hhhmmm. I've some double with the statement. I've found that, in most case, RPG rule when it comes to performance. Especially when a sql statement is creating temp file, doing multiple join, or union. But, when it comes to performance, you almost have to look at it case by case. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Mohammad, Tanveer Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 1:36 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Embeded SQL Query - Possible to make it in RPGLE.
