I agree with Rob regarding with name for documentation. I named the parms but it didn't work without the length. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces+iwall=evergladesdirect.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces+iwall=evergladesdirect.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Shijith_Chand Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2005 12:43 PM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: LikeDS in Subprocedure >date: Thu, 8 Sep 2005 10:14:26 -0400 >from: "Wall, Isa \(ED\)" <IWall@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >subject: RE: LikeDS in Subprocedure >Thank you. That was my problem. I put the length on the prototype and >it compiled. I think you still can use LikeDs(@DS_ErrMsg) in your Prototype if you name your prototype parameters ( as rob mentioned).Apart from improving the understandability of the code ,the names will also act as a demarcation between the parameters as no "continuation of previous line" is assumed by the compiler if the names are present.
