If you want them to run sequentially you could use a single string job 
queue.  However that doesn't ensure that the previous job ended 
"successfully".

And, then again, there's the definition of success.  Is it successful if 
your CL program has a generic MONMSG CPF0000 at the top with a goto END:, 
and this is executed, is that "successful"?

You may want to look at IBM's Advanced job scheduler, (not the freebie 
WRKJOBSCDE that comes with the OS).  It has this kind of robustness (like 
job dependencies) built into it.
