RE: read on a do loop

So do this:

  Dou %eof(myfile);
    Read myfile;
    If %eof(myfile);
      Leave;
    Endif;
    If itactv = 'N';
      Iter;
    Endif;
    // process
  Enddo;

Or better yet:

  Dou %eof(myfile);
    Read myfile;
    Select;
    When %eof(myfile);
      Leave;
    When itactv = 'N';
      Iter;
    Other;
      // process
    Endsl;
  Enddo;

What could be easier to read and understand?  (I know - loaded question <g>)
