Define "weird".
Normally if you use %s you have to convert the substitution parms to
character using %char() or one of the edit built-in functions.
I tend to only use character since you can't easily prototype a parm that
accepts either char or num parms.

Subject: Anybody got any experience calling the C "printf" function from
RPG?

I understand that it's possible to do so, and I could
certainly use that right now, to help me diagnose a weird
problem with a mixed-language program.
