You had me quite confused for a little while.

Other than that, your solution seems to be the simple and econonomical, I'm 
going for it. The kind of thing that look painfully obvious after you are

Are you sure about EXTFILE being able to be used on external files? This 
comes straight from the ref:

EXTFILE(filename)
(...snip...)
Notes:
(...snip...)
4. This keyword is not used to find an externally-described file at compile 
time

Is this outdated? It's the reference that comes with WSDc 5.0. I know that 
it doesn't include changes in r2 and r3, so it could be the case.
