just my 2 cents....it's much better to do your validation in the RPG than the
DSPF. Not to mention that with the DSPF in this case month = 02 & day = 31 is
valid....which is not a truely valid date....

Subject: Checking Values Within DSPF

Hi All,

Can someone tell me if I can check a value in the DSPF instead of doing
the check using RPG code?

For example, I have an entry field for days and months. I want to
ensure that the day entered is between 1 and 31 and the month is between
1 and 12 (these are two separate fields). Can this be done in the
display file, or do I need to write some IF statement in my RPG code?

Thanks!

Brian.
