Hi Lim,

C select

C callp SndMsg(MsgInId :*omit :*omit :*omit
C :*omit :MsgInQueue)
C when %parms() <=3
C callp SndMsg(MsgInId :MsgInData :*omit :*omit

C when %parms() <=4
C callp SndMsg(MsgInId :MsgInData :MsgInType

C when %parms() <=5
C callp SndMsg(MsgInId :MsgInData :MsgInType
C :MsgFile :*omit :MsgInQueue)
C when %parms() <=6
C callp SndMsg(MsgInId :MsgInData :MsgInType
C :MsgFile :MsgLib :MsgInQueue)
C endsl
</snip>
If you want to go down this route use %addr instead of %parms. You don't
need to cater for every possible combination then. If a parm is not passed
it's address is null. That's all you need to check.
Cheers
