RE: Embedded SQL - fetching a date

It's the data structure that is the problem.

This will NOT compile:
D MyDS            ds 
D  MyDate                         d

C+     Naming    = *Sys,

C+     DynUsrPrf = *User, 
C+     Datfmt    = *iso,

C/EXEC SQL 
C+ Values current date into :MyDate
C/END-EXEC

  *inlr=*on;
  return;

This WILL compile:

I think Birgitta had something, but I couldn't explain it back.  Something 
about a data structure changing it from a date field to a character 
representation of a date field.
