Know if there's a PTF available for v5r2 that updates the SQL precompiler? I'm learning my lesson in how SQL doesn't like anything Qualified. Now I'm learning about SQL and the issues it has with scoping. (first time working with SQL's Fetch)... Here's my Declare: C/EXEC SQL C+ DECLARE ORDHDR CURSOR FOR C+ SELECT OHNUM, OHBILL C+ FROM ORDPHDR C+ WHERE OHKEYDATE >= :BegOfCurYear C+ ORDER BY OHBILL C/END-EXEC Here's my Fetch: C/EXEC SQL C+ FETCH FROM ORDHDR FOR 50 ROWS INTO :OrdHdrDS C/END-EXEC Here's my DS: D OrdPHdr_Tmpl E DS ExtName( OrdPHdr) Based(@) D OrderNum S Like( OrdPHdr_Tmpl.OHNum ) // Data structure to hold Order Header records read by SQL D OrdHdrDS DS Occurs(50) D Ord Like( OrdPHdr_Tmpl.OHNum ) D* Ord Like( OrderNum ) D BT 9P 0 So, as shown above, the SQL compile fails. If you comment out the 1st 'Ord' in the DS and uncomment the 2nd 'Ord' in the DS, the compile will be successful. What's the difference?
