Mike Use the API then. If John Smith was signed on to QPADEV0001, job 123456 and submits the report to run as REPORTUSR, then the API will show you that the report was submitted to run by 123456/JSMITH/QPADEV0001. My understanding of what you want is for user ID JSMITH to appear on the report instead of REPORTUSR, for example. If that's the case then you can use the API. If you want to change the user that the "server" job runs under, then you would need to make use of the QSYGETPH and QWTSETP API's to change the profile, the following link http://www.itjungle.com/mpo/mpo071703-story02.html points to an article you may find useful.
