Marvin:

It's likely that a number of us could give the reason, but everything would be 
guesswork. And we'd supply a list of possibilities only one of which would be 
essentially the 'true' answer for your particular case. There are a _lot_ of 
possibilities.

But without seeing the section of code that you changed plus the area of code 
that includes your data structure definition, guesses are all that you'll get.

Post the relevant code and you'll probably get a useful answer.
