I have already defined this parameter with '*YES' because I want these
control characters in the returned messagetext.
I want to reformat the returned text by using the control characters.

For example, when I retrieve this example as messagetext:
"Appliciation locked: &N The application is locked at this time etc etc.
&N Try tomorrow etc etc."

Then I want to reformat the text to a user readable text on several
lines like what's happening in dspmsg:
" Application locked:"
" The application is locked at this time etc etc."
" Try tomorrow etc etc."

Just wondering if I can display the formatted message somehow from RPG
or CL. If there's no command or API that can do this kind of thing, I
have to write my own parser. I know, it's good for training, but
reinventing things that are already there is not my goal ;-)

I also looked in the QMHRCVPM Receive Program Message API as suggested
by Carel, but I think it will also return an unformatted text, although
I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks,
Arco Simonse
