I'm looking for an easy way to get the system name for a report. Was hoping for something like SYSNAME for display files, but don't see anything like this for printer files. Didn't see it in the feedback areas either. I'm drawing a blank, but will be looking for APIs.

You can get this with the RTVNETA CL command... that's easy. Just create a little CL module that your RPG program calls when it needs the system name.

Or, if you do end up using an API, put it in a subprocedure in a service program so that future programs can just call that subprocedure.

Anything out there easier than APIs?

Thanks
