The file may be open maybe by another browser/request processor?  if
that's the case, you've got more problems than just trying to clear
your file.

Assuming this isn't a problem, if you can use SQL in your RPG pgm, you
could do this:

c+        delete from gregw/fndordbydt

or you could just do a quick rpg delete of all records:

loval    setll     fndordbydt
          read     fndordbydt
          dow      not %eof(fndordbydt)
          delete   fndordbydt
          read     fndordbydt
          enddo
