Believe it or not, this would not cause a compilation error. When the screen is displayed, the "+" would just overlay any data in the last three positions of the last subfile record. Donald R. When you use *MORE it puts More... after the final subfile record. But if you do not use *MORE it puts the plus sign in the final position on the last subfile record, hence the field is overlapping the + sign. <clip>
