ODBC needed? -- RPG400-L

List,
        I have a need to access a SQL table that resides on one of our servers 
through an RPG program. I have no idea how to go about this. Our network 
administrator told me I would need an ODBC connection, but that doesn't seem to 
solve my problem of accessing the table from RPG. Am I going about this all 
wrong?
