I accidentally discovered that RPG doesn't seem to allow level breaks on null fields. Is there a way around this? 1) Does anyone know why this design decision was made? A keyword could have been added to the H spec to define the behavior (e.g. *SkipNullLBRecs) if necessary. 2) Is there a way to override the null attribute when referencing a null field via REF/REFFLD in DDS? I just want the field length and type, but do not want it to be null capable. -mark -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
