No. That just tells RPG to stick a NULL on the end of whatever you pass to save you the effort of doing it programmatically.


The 'problem' is the system() itself expects a null-terminated string (regardless of what the prototype says) so the code inside the system function will stop processing the parameter at the first null. It passes what it has found so far to QCMDEXC which complains because the command is incomplete.

The root cause is the brain-dead null-terminated string concept so popular in C.
