This was a bug in my program but I'm curious why I got the results I did.

Here is an example;

 D v_Number1       s              7  0
 D v_Err                 s              1

 v_Number1 = 500;

if v_Number1 >= 10,000;
  v_Err = 'Y';
else;
  v_Err = 'N';
endif;

Why was v_Number1 treated as greater or equal to 10,000? I'm at V5R2.

Thanks
Andy
