Data Queue corruption

Has anyone seen a data queue become corrupted and not accept data anymore? Our ERP system writes work order numbers to a data queue for processing. Yesterday, none of the work order numbers were entering the data queue. After an hour with tech support, they suggested deleting and recreating the data queue. Everything works great now. I am still worried that it could happen again. Any ideas?
