Actually x+=1; is already supported.  As was beaten to death here awhile 
back. 
C           ADD     1           X
beats
C    X      ADD     1           X
Because, and I've seen it myself, people will change one side of the 
equation and forget the other.
The only potential problem is if you really meant for x to become simply a 
positive one, like x=+1;
And I actually made this typo while typing up this email.  :-)

Actually, I found out Jon and Susan are doing a seminar here next month.
All this talk about /FREE piqued my interest in it and I talked my
company into letting me go.
