We've been hosting our sites on a 400/iSeries since 1997.  If any of
your folks are familiar with PHP or other web scripting languages, I'd
suggest giving Net.Data a try
(http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/net.data/docs/noframes/db2rn/).

We host our sites on 810's and call RPG programs as stored procedures
on our production 870.  Works great.  And while we're using Net.Data
now, we are looking at WebSphere Application Server Express, which
will let us do the same thing.
