I did the "track where I am (supposed to be)" thing that Charles suggested. As Karen mentioned, you should be able to FETCH BEFORE/FETCH AFTER. But I received an error that seemed to indicate I had done a FETCH RELATIVE of too many records when I tried to use them. So I ended up doing a FETCH FIRST/PRIOR and FETCH LAST/NEXT to properly position the cursor and get an appropriate SQLCOD for the operation. I would argue that such behavior is not consistent with the documentation. Hope your experience is more pleasant. Please do not let this little "bump in the road" stop you from using such a great technique. L. Wayne James Senior Developer Agilysys, Inc. First things first, though. Could you expound a bit on your problems with BOF & EOF? Is it related to using RELATIVE?
