Let me put it this way: It's $$$ that *I* personally can't choose to spend. If it were my choice, a CMS would be near the top of my list. What *I* can do is develop something on my own personal time, and learn and have fun in the process. Oh, and have something in the end that will help me do my job. Is it a full-blown CMS? Not by a long shot. I only responded to Rob's statement that the CMS also has the pre-compiler and compiler options that my home-grown application does. Perhaps I should have just responded that one doesn't have to buy a CMS to get the precompiler functions and that I would be happy to share my precompiler app with anyone who requests it. I would also just like to take this opportunity to thank Henrik Krebs for sharing, in detail, the concepts of the impressive pre-compiler that he wrote and uses. Although I have successfully tested it, I haven't quite implemented that one, since the one I have "works", but Henrik's is much nicer in that you continue to use PDM option 14, and you can prompt the compiler command if you want to. db > -----Original Message----- > From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx / Tom Liotta > Sent: Saturday, October 09, 2004 3:35 AM > > Dan: > > Are you suggesting that "$$$" are less when the programming is > done in-house?
