True, it probably won't help. But it has made me think about the potential.

If the interactive program does use a data queue to monitor display file wait 
times, there's no reason another program can't send entries to it. If the entry 
contained something like "Hey! Wake up! Unlock that record!", the interactive 
program could be written to react.

It'd take some up-front design work and some careful interfacing, but I see no 
reason it couldn't be done.
