RE: Recovering deleted records

Do they have DBU? It allows you to undelete records.
If they don't have WRKDBF, then download and install it, it is free!
Also if they have the file attributes set to Reuse Deleted Records *YES,
then your screwed anyway.

I have an emergency production issue and my client does not have wrkdbf.
I am trying the cpyf with compress(*no) but am getting no where.  MY
dspfd shows the same number of deleted records.  Then how do you compare
these 2 files?  The original was keyed and I created the copy with no
keys and did the cpyf. (I also tried to create a cpyf with record start
as 1) when I do a cmppfm, I get all records as mismatch.  

What am I doing wrong?

WRKDBF works great except in a situation that I ran into.  The software
product had a keyed PF so I could not look at the records.  I just
copied
the file into a new pf that had no key and it worked fine.  I ended up
using
the CPY ... COMPRESS(*NO)...
