Here's another performance question. Let's say I have seven input files, none of which must be opened at the same time (i.e. for calculating summary 'check' totals). If I choose to open only one file at a time, process all records, then close the file, will the system use a larger block size than if I open all seven at the same time? (I am specifying BLOCK(*YES) on the filespec). TIA -- "Enter any 11-digit prime number to continue..."
