I posted a sample of using the LDAP APIs to this mailing list back in
2002.  It may answer your question.

To find the message, do the following:

a) point your web browser at http://archive.midrange.com

b) Click "RPG400-L"

c) In the "search" box, type: LDAP API mail

d) Look for a message from Scott Klement that contains some RPG code.
