>C EVAL DOCTYPE@=QxmlDOM_Document_getDoctype

Did you successfully retrieve the pointer in this line of code before
you called QxmlDOM_DocumentType_getName? You can check the variable
value while in debug to make sure.

Also, here is the documentation for that API which states that the
returned pointer can in fact be null:

"For documents without a document type declaration this returns null
reference object. The DOM Level 1 does not support editing the Document
Type Declaration, therefore docType cannot be altered in any way."

I am getting an error! The error is pointer is not set for location
referenced at statement

C EVAL DOMSTRPTR@=QxmlDOM_DocumentType_getName

C (DOCTYPE@)

I guess this means that the DOCTYPE@ pointer was not set properly. Why
is that so? Shouldn't I get a pointer for the 'Document type' node in
the previous statement?

Subject: Usage of document type in XML parsing

Hi,

Is anything wrong with my usage of document type in DOM model

implementation of XML parser 3.10

(not the full code. only the relevant part)

C EVAL DOCTYPE@=QxmlDOM_Document_getDoctype

C (DOMDOC@)

C EVAL DOMSTRPTR@=QxmlDOM_DocumentType_getName

C (DOCTYPE@)

C EVAL WVALLSTR=%STR(QxmlDOMString_transcode

C (DOMSTRPTR@))

C EXCEPT DTYPNAM

C CALLP QxmlDOMString_delete(DOMSTRPTR@)

C EVAL

DOMSTRPTR@=QxmlDOM_DocumentType_getPublicId

C (DOCTYPE@)

C EVAL WVALLSTR=%STR(QxmlDOMString_transcode

C (DOMSTRPTR@))

C EXCEPT DPUBLID

C CALLP QxmlDOMString_delete(DOMSTRPTR@)

C EVAL

DOMSTRPTR@=QxmlDOM_DocumentType_getSystemId

C (DOCTYPE@)

C EVAL WVALLSTR=%STR(QxmlDOMString_transcode

C (DOMSTRPTR@))

C EXCEPT DSYSTID

C CALLP QxmlDOMString_delete(DOMSTRPTR@)
