Try changing your prototype to:

D time            PR            10I 0 EXTPROC('time')    
D                                 *   value

Also, change your call to:

C                   eval      time_t = time(%addr(time_t))

C                   eval      time_t = time()

When I compile the program, I got 

    794 C                   eval      time_t = time()

 ======>                                            a

 *RNF0637 30 a      002634  An operand was expected but was not found;
specific
                            ignored.


What I am doing wrong?
