sorry, I can't reproduce the problem. I transferred the sent save file (from
my E-Mail) back to my iSeries and the RSTOBJ worked fine. It's a handling
problem on your site or the data has been damaged on the way.
What you should do is:

1. Download the sent save file from E-Mail into your IFS
2. Create a save file with CRTSAVF on your iSeries
3. Transfer the download file by FTP to the save file. Use FTP-Option BIN!
4. Use RSTOBJ with OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(NOLL) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(yourlib/yourfile)
RSTLIB(yourlib).
The restored object is the source file CVTRPGSTM.

Are you on V5R2?

published by a magazine. We used this tool successfully; many thanks to the
