Titus,

I never assume that my trigger programs will always come from one
particular RPG application running in the perfect library list. I test my
trigger programs with UPDDTA and my library list at the time has no
library that is not in QSYSLIBL or QUSRLIBL. Sometimes it takes various
tricks. One trick may be using the library that is passed into the
trigger buffer to condition other files, (providing they are in the same
library). It's as simple as making the files user open and using the
EXTFILE keyword.

Subject
Trigger and remote query

Hi!

Another short question on triggers. When I do a SQL UPDATE on a physical
file located on a remote system, the trigger program associated to that
file
is called. But when the program reads another database file, an error
occurs
on the remote system server job: The second file was not found by
searching
the library list. Any ideas? Why does the server not looks in the library
with the trigger file or program?

Sorry for a little bit offtopic from the rpg-list.
