Why in the world would you not be allowed to use CODE?

Is notepad the only editor you can use to create text files?

I can understand for example word processing documents must be created with
MS Word, instead of some incompatible program.

But there's absolutely no difference between source created with SEU and
source created with CODE.

Does Corporate know this? Do they know it doesn't cost any extra? Do they
know the benefits of CODE?
Do they know that CODE and WDSCi are the IBM preferred(recommended) editors?

I understand not all developers want to switch (ok, I don't understand it
but I realize it happens ;-) but there is no valid reason why Corporate
should allow those who want to switch do so.

If they can't afford (time or $$$) to formally train you on it. Offer to
learn it on your own time, it's not hard to do.

Good luck,
Charles
