I don't think you're following what the original poster wants.

He has a green screen program running in a 5250 session and he want the user
to be able to hit a F-key and have a web browser open on the PC with the UPS
tracking info for the given packages.

iSeries web server has nothing to do with what the original poster wants to
do.

However, you've given me an another idea. (or perhaps this is something
similar to what you were trying to say ;-)

Instead of opening the PC browser directly to the tracking site, the RPG
program could build a static temporary web page with a redirect to the
appropriate UPS URL then use STRPCCMD to open the browser to the local
webpage just created by the RPG program.
