RE: WRKQRY

On the Work with Queries screen, type a 6, the query name and your
library.  Type WRKSPLF on a command line and look for output with
today's date, usually named QPQUPRFIL.  That should give you the field
names on the file in the query, along with sorts, selects etc.  Hope
that's what you want.

When I do this I still dont see the source. I see the files contents to
the
right and some garbled text to the left. My objective here is to get the
variable names of each field so that I can use that data in another
program.
