I kind of lucked out, in that both EMEMP# & the name fields are alpha
(different lengths, but both defined as alpha). I didn't realize you could
do multiple Case statements like that.  I will keep that in mind, because I
can see using this technique again. I can't believe how slick it worked
compared to the way you used to have to do this in older versions, before
SQL.
