I would use the old ICFF with the new RPG IV program and see if you still get errors. Actually, you need to consider the possibility that you got an honest line error during the test of the new program... Not that they'll be all that much help, what were the major/minor codes? To debug these, consider use of DSPLY or even a printer file to log what happened: except OpenBefore open ICFF if %error except OpenError endif except OpenGood and so on. Then you know precisely where the process falls over. Capture the state of the error indicator and the major/minor codes. I have RPG IV ICF programs that run just the same as they did when they were RPG III, so I don't think that there is a problem with the conversion. Are you using the IBM CVTRPGSRC or a 3rd party? Are your PTF levels good? Don't forget the group PTFs as well as the cume. --buck
