With a HP4000 laser, we print standard 3of9 barcode on our orders
for tracking.
CRTPRTF FILE(NTOPRTD1) SRCFILE(QDDSSRC) DEVTYPE(*AFPDS)
This is one of the lines in the external print file (and prints a 7
character barcode)
 A            ORDER#         7        54BARCODE(CODE3OF9 1)

What kind of printer do you have?
