I had runtime issues once due to QAQQINI  (Query Optimizer options file)
someone had added to one of the prod libraries.  Depending on the JOBD that
was being used, the program would sometimes use the QSYS lib version of
QAQQINI, and other times used the variant in the prod lib.  It took me weeks
to track down the difference....

I've seen some info before, possibly here or in the news group that
discussed some reasons why SQL worked differently between interactive and
batch.

May want to google for a NG article and/or search the archives.

If nothing else, try submitting a CL that runs STRDBG before calling the
SQLRPG.
