os400 api to list qhst messages -- RPG400-L

hi,

anybody know a method other than dsplog to list messages from qhst?

what i want to do:
i want to go through the messages of qhst from a certain date/hour till a 
certain date/hour.

i searched through the os400 apis but found nothing.

anybody an idea?
