And the power of the MOVE opcode was taken for granted within the RPG
community.  And yet some people deemed it too "difficult".  So evidently
"taken for granted" isn't the yardstick used to make the decisions.  In
fact, it's hard to determine just WHAT the criteria used were.

Indentation is nice, but it doesn't make up for some of the less
desirable features of the /free syntax, especially those that make it
more difficult to move from fixed to /free.

"It might make horrible looking code" is an example of the kind of
argument required to justify these decisions.  Arbitrary and ultimately
indefensible.
