FYI, Procedures names are case sensitive in languages that are case sensitive, like Java, C, and C++ and they may also be exported from non-case sensitive languages as mixed case. That is ALL Procedure Names are Case Sensitive in ILE in OS/400 and /i5/OS. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Malchow, Grizzly Sent: Monday, May 10, 2004 8:18 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: QCMDEXC and 3rd party program Thanks for the tips. You guys were right about not having the print file overridden to the correct scope. I figured out why I was getting binding errors as well. I defined the system prototype with like this. D ExecCommand PR 10I 0 EXTPROC('SYSTEM') D Cmd * Value OPTIONS(*STRING) I changed the value 'SYSTEM' to 'system' and the program compiled and works properly now. I thought the procedure name was only case sensitive when defining a Java class. _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
