Did you define this offset as 10I0? If you did it as 4B, you have it defined
wrong. This is a FAQ entry: http://faq.midrange.com/data/cache/24.html.

Subject: retrieve user space api problem

hi,

i have problems retrieving binary(4) data from user space. the char data
is ok. but i have problems getting binary(4) fields like

124 7C BINARY(4) Offset to list data section

if i use the display command in my rpg program i get:

DSPLY  b

i tried to convert it to a number with:

listPosition = %dec(%trim(listValue) : 10 : 0);

but i get an error with errorcode 105 (which seems to be undocumented or
at least i can't find the docu of that status) when i look at the status
field of the program error data structure.

i think i make some terribly simple mistake but i don't get it. perhaps
someone can help me.

thanx in advance.

mk
