error RPG1251 only in STRDBG -- RPG400-L

Hello,

I have a subfile/display program that runs fine when STRDBG is not used,
but when the program hits the break point in STRDBG mode, an RPG1251error
occurs.  Any ideas?

"Message . . . . :   Permanent I/O error occurred (C G S D F)"
