Does anyone out there programming using free format use the " /If Defined ( CopyfFunctionName )" and also use cross-reference utility Hawkeye. For the past year we kind a made standard to use this technique for defining prototypes in our programs. The members that contain our prototype definitions can be rather lengthy with many definitions. Therefore this way it will only include the prototypes that are being used. Hawkeye had recently sent out a new release to handle more functionality with AS400 releases. Since this last release their code cannot handle the conditioning of copyfunctions. It seems to pull in all files in all programs where that function is used. After working with them they are not sure if the task to fix this major problem warrants the effort. I am just curious and would like to know about many out there use this technique. Or how many out there have Hawkeye and use functions and procedures?
