Vivienne, I think the only way you will achieve the column alignment you wish is to use the POSITION keyword. This means you will have to replace the use of SKIP/SPACE keywords (and Line/Column positioning) and rely on some logic in your code to handle 'vertical movement' down the page. This is fairly easy to do as POSITION allows variable - as well as constant -values to be specified. The ENDPAGE keyword also comes in handy as well when dealing with 'overflow'. You are presently using typographic fonts - yet the relative positioning (Line/Column) across the page is monospaced. Hence the results you see. Another alternative might be to use the AFPU (or similar) utility instead of DDS. Hope this helps. Brian Parkins
